Fic: A Ghost Story for Christmas, Part Three

The great mince pie cliffhanger resolved! I know a lot of you were worried about that... And we get some Three this part; I hope he's okay, because I decided about halfway through this that I didn't really know how to write him (lots of chin rubbing and sugary tea, I decided eventually!), but I think he rallies towards the end... And some Brig-POV stuff; try to spot the bits he discreetly _isn't_ telling his family in the present day! And the plot, such as it is, slouches like some rough beast towards Bethlehem, etc. etc...

I hope Jo doesn't come across as too pathetic and girly in this part; I wasn't trying to write her that way, but I suspect I may not have succeeded. The Brig's line about party decorations is taken from Primsong's review of the last part; it amused me greatly, so I nicked it! And a cliffhanger! :)
