Happy Birthday, akashasheiress!

Or Maggadin as you are also known! :D Oh no, have I given the secret identity away?? Here's hoping you have had/will have a great day and a great year ahead of you.

Nghhhh, so sweet, thank you! There should be more State of Decay fic with them, I say, since it's so damn shippy. Romana wears that lovely dress in the end, which would be easy to get off.;D

Hmmm...yes, you may have a point there... ;D

I'm glad you liked it! And you're right, State of Decay _is_ so damn shippy - one thing I didn't like about the NAs was the way they seemed to completely undo the story, with Seven ending up rescuing Romana from E-Space so she could become President. Let's face it, it's far more likely she would have ended up rescuing him!

I can totally see them sneaking around the corridors at night and - literally - bumping into each other, and then arguing over whose room is closest.

Yeah, I also dislike how some fics seem to imply that Romana was such a disaster at going it alone that the Doctor had to rescue her from everything. Which reminds me that I read about this scene from one of the novels in which Seven and Romana do the whole catching-up-with-fingers-on-temples-thing and Bernice Summerfield is looking at theme like ''WTF?'' and Ace says something like ''Sickening, isn't it?'':D

LOL! ;D

Yeah, Romana didn't need rescuing from E-Space, in "real life", her and the tin dog pwned E-Space (and if I ever finish that short Warriors' Gate sequel fic, Great American Novel allowing, I will demonstrate exactly how they did pwn E-Space!). I've written a lot of Romana-in-the-Time War fic in my time, but I'll confess I have a secret hope for the Xmas specials:

SPOILERS!!!

I'm hoping they say Timothy Dalton was President during the Time War and not Romana, because then not only is she off the hook for having started it (not that anyone apart from RTD and possibly Paul Cornell believes that she did, and Paul Cornell has recently recanted his heretical error!), but then I can believe she's still out there in E-Space, up to incarnation Romana VIII by now, played by your presentable youngish actress of choice, ready to come back to N-Space and start kicking proverbials and taking names... ;D

I certainly don't hope that Timothy Dalton will turn out be Romana. Your fic-idea sounds faboo, though. Although I've always been reluctant to join in the ''Romana never left E-Space'' chorus because that would mean that the Doctor just conveniently forgot about her or something.

Er, let's talk about hallway-sneaking instead: clearly, such a discussion would just lead straight into forplay, wouldn't it?

"I certainly don't hope that Timothy Dalton will turn out be Romana."

O.o (!!)

Yes, you've identified the big problem with the "Romana-is-still-alive" theory, namely that then the Doctor wouldn't be so convinced he was the Last of the Time Lords, would he? But if she wasn't President during the War, she would at least have the option of escape, via fobwatch or back to E-Space, conceivably (I don't believe for one second that she would have saved herself and let Gallifrey burn without her, had she been President - she had too much integrity for that).

As for hallway-sneaking... I think in the end they'd agree to disagree and just go to some room that was conveniently placed halfway, like the library or the junk room or something (pencil in disturbing kinkmeme fic here...). Of course, that would run the risk of Adric walking in on them unexpectedly... The horror! The horror! O.o

It's not that I'm against genderfuck but part of the reason that I love Romana is that she's an awesome female character.

Yes, Romana was a bit annoyed that they had to start caring about location all of a sudden.

Indeed; and there is no actual onscreen evidence of sex-changing Time Lords (not that there is any evidence that they don't!). Mind you, the vast majority of Time Lords ever seen in Who seem to be white males with English accents, so that isn't exactly good to begin with...

No, Romana is, as you say, an awesome female character; anything else would be beside the point. Although...given her habit of profligately wasting her regenerations (not that we don't love Lalla, mind you! ;D), if it was possible for Time Lords to change sex, you could see her trying out being male, just for a bit, just to see what it was like... O.o

And yes, before Adric came on the scene, their only rule regarding venue was to keep it out of the console room, for reasons of professionalism, and to avoid the inevitable snarky comments from K9... Feel free to sketch in your suggestions regarding the TARDIS wardrobe room, dressing up, etc. etc...

I can't believe I've just typed that... ;D
