...because you on my flist are all sensible people, but you see those tick-boxes that appear now when you post a comment, asking you whether you want to cross-post to Facebook and/or Twitter? Please don't cross-post anything on my lj to either of those places, will you? Or I'll be Very Upset, and you wouldn't want to see me Very Upset, would you??

Thanks - I'd already seen a version of that workaround and put it on my Personal and Fic LJs (and passed it on to various of my Flist too) via comments and Twitter...
