See, being woefully American and having been exposed to only the post-it note facts about Churchill, I wasn't aware I should be bothered until there was a mass outcry against the portrayal. I just thought that is was a poor episode on the plot/emotional motivation/coherency/look! Power Ranger Daleks! level. I also wonder if this was a re-draft of an episode RTD rejected.
I was a little more leery of the Nixon portrayal, even though it didn't raise any particularly egregious red flags (like RTD's silly suggestion that the President would give a Christmas speech barring a large scale national tragedy. Actually that just made me laugh.).
