Author's Notes: After something of a hiatus, the Retro-Torchwood team (those stiff-upper-lipped chaps and gels glimpsed during TW Season 2) ride again. This is actually something I started writing last year and abandoned after a few pages, but it has risen from the grave. And it starts with a bit of warfare on the high seas; as always, never be in the teaser. I'm sure some of you will guess the identity of the alien menace straight away. Those of you who have seen Das Boot may recognise a reference or two. Wrong war, but still.
