Evening on Gallifrey

So, I've been generally unproductive with the old fanfic as of late, failing to get on with my WIPs, and sort of spewing out random snippets that don't really go anywhere. This is one such; it may in fact be the opening of something much longer, that Doctor's origin story thing I've been threatening people with for some time. Then again, it might not. Opinions and feedback welcome. Those of you who have seen the Time Monster may have an inkling of what mountain we're talking about.
