Fic: Brightly Shone the Moon that Night

This was originally going to be my 2009 Christmas fic, but, well, I decided it was a bit grim, really. Year That Never Was fic tends towards grimness, I find, but hopefully there's some glimmer of hope or whatever in here somewhere. I just had this mental image of Simm!Master hosting this cheesy Xmas special like some sort of demonic Val Doonican, although that didn't end up being so prominent in the finished version. Also my first time writing Martha, I think. Obviously, Doctor Who and its various copyrights definitely, definitely do not belong to me.

Fic: A Ghost Story for Christmas, Part Eight

In which things reach a sort of climax (even if this is not quite the last part); Jo shows her usefulness, the Brig shows his steel, the Doctor shows his Doctorliness and Liz shows her own brand of awesomeness. And the Master shows that he really ought to think these schemes of his through a bit better before he embarks upon them. A very UNIT family sort of crisis resolution, hopefully. The idea that the car Bessie is in some way named after Liz is one I lifted from lost_spook /vvj5 - hopefully she won't mind!
