I think you had Adric smirking a bit too much but then again, I haven't rewatched in years.
But yes, I always had a soft spot for Adric (I did watch him when I was a teenager, as it happens), I would have stowed away too, and I thought he worked better with 4 than with 5. Poor, doomed Adric. :~(
Thanks for not bashing him in your story. You did make him annoying and real but also sympathetic and I really enjoyed the scene with Romana and him.
