Plan B and a half...

Another slight change of plan to the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Masterplan I unveiled last week...
Who was it who said no battle plan ever survives contact with the enemy? Clausewitz? Sun Tzu? Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart? The enemy, in this context, would be the people who run and administer Livejournal, who seem determined to drive off as many of their existing users as possible.
Personally, I'm the sort of human doormat who muddles through when something like the impending big friends page change harshes my enjoyment of some online resource, but I know many of you, very rightly, are not. I had planned to muddle through here on LJ until I was pretty much the only person left here who wasn't a Russian political activist, but my 50th Anniversary scheme somewhat kiboshes that, as I of course want at least some of you to participate in it with me. :)
So, I'm just letting you know that in view of the uncertain future of Doctor Who fandom on LJ, I'm going to be running the 50th Anniversary comm across both Dreamwidth and LJ. People are of course free to interact and participate from whichever of the two sites they prefer, as the comm and everything I post on it will be mirrored across both.
So, seeing as I'm new to actually actively posting on Dreamwidth, would any of you know any comms etc. there that I really ought to be subscribed to, as a fan of Doctor Who, science fiction, genre TV and films, etc (i.e. places I can advertise this plan around when I finally make my move some time in the next couple of weeks?)

Give me the name of this comm here on DW and tell me it's okay to track it and I will put in the
Of course, in return for this wealth of information I have provided, I ask you for the following: If you run across any other Whovian comms that aren't on the Active Community list, please let me know. I'll ask their mods for permission to track (Dreamwidth people have traditionally been more concerned about privacy and controlling distribution of their end product than people on LJ, so I try to respect that.)

Thank you very much for the info - I will be sure to make use of it unwisely. I will be officially launching the comm sometime in the next couple of weeks, as a place for information, news, meta and fic relating to Doctor Who in its 50th anniversary year, so I will definitely give you a heads-up when I do so. I plan to run monthly ficathons from January-November 2013, one for each of the current Doctors starting with Eleven and counting down to One, and with monthly supplemental prompts to provide a bit more variety for members who might not be enamoured of that month's Doctor. Signups for the January (Eleven) ficathon will start in December, so I'll definitely announce the comm before then.
And yes, if I come across any other comms I think you would be interested in, I will of course let you know. :)
