Title: Escaping the Web
Part One: Piccadilly Circus
Rating: Teen (Gen)
Word count: 4,389 so far
Warnings: Some violence
Summary: The horror infesting the London Underground has been defeated, and now it's time for Colonel Lethbridge-Stewart to pick up the pieces and build for the future. If he can, that is, with the shadowy agents of a certain Institute doing their best to interfere...
Characters: Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, Other characters
Disclaimer: Doctor Who and its many associated characters and copyrights do not, of course, belong to me!
I know I have enough WIPs on the go as it is without starting another multi-parter, but this one's been burning a hole in my imagination since I re-watched The Web of Fear last weekend and demands to be told... Based on his remarkable headwear in that story and some stuff I've read online during the week I'm now acting on the assumption that the future-Brig was not actually in the Guards as specified in some spinoff media (and by the tie he's wearing in Mawdryn Undead!) but some unspecified Scottish infantry regiment similar to, but not exactly like, the Royal Highland Fusiliers. There are various spellings of his friend Billy's surname online but Ian Marter opts for "Routledge" in his novelisation of The Invasion and who am I to argue? :)
