Fic: Killing Time, Pt 8

The epic conclusion, with added kind-of-sequel-bait! In addition to tying up the plot in what I hope is a none-head!desk sort of way, this also features quite large helpings of Doctor!angst and Doctor/Romana-ness, so apologies if you’re not into that kind of thing. And thanks again to my associateakashasheiress , whose prompt(s) made me write this. I wouldn’t have even thought of it otherwise! Honest!

I'm pleased that you didn't think the duplicate thing was a bit forced or unlikely, but really it's my way of setting it up so that all of the possible options concerning what Romana did/what happened to her can be "true"; helps to have two of her running around the place, makes for easier scheduling for one thing! XD

I'm gathering up courage to break the news to the cat. I don't know how she feels about getting a new sister.

I get the image of Seven doing walking out of Romana's chambers in a ginger sort of way saying ''Ah, yes... I think I've established... Let's go Ace!''

FLAIL! FLAIL! FLAIL!

I was going to quote my favourite bits in the teaspoon review. I was copy-pasting them into Word, but when it broke the two page mark I realized that just wasn't going to work. EEEEeeeeeeee!!!

But that bit where the intensity gradually builds from Romana thinking about Adric (which hit me really hard for some reason, possibly because Ace was in the room), to her comforting Ace and“I never said I was better than that” and then her admission and the Doctor's admission, OMG I had shivers and was just gawping, gibbering at the screen. And then this started on my playlist just as the Doctor was shouting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4wnBBfN6Hg and it was kind of epic.

AND THEN IT GOT SEXY TIEMS! AND AWKWARD MORNING AFTER! AND THE RESOLUTION! AND THE TIME WAR ANGST! AND THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER BIT AT THE END!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, careful with the flailing - with that and the head!desking you're going to put yourself out of commission before you've had a chance to write disturbing Eleven fic for me!

But yes, thank you very much indeed and I'm glad you liked this. And that bit in particular, because it was sort of the thing that I was taking ages writing, because you know I didn't want it to be too angsty, not Ten-level angsty, but yeah, they've both done bad, bad things in the course of doing good...

And yeah, the rest was the fun bit, and I'm glad you liked that too.

I'm just using my brain at the moment, but if I ever find I don't need it any more...
