So Here's An Idea...
Feb. 13th, 2011 10:17 pmI don't presume to call it a meme, because to be a meme it has to be adopted by others, and then spread, but something for members of my flist with too much time on their hands:
1, Go to this link:

2. Randomly generate one (1) cheesy made-up thriller title
3. Write a drabble for your fandom of choice that in some way relates to the title generated. Be warned, some of them are a bit...non-obvious
4. If you're not fed up yet, repeat until you are!

“And here,” the guide continued, “is a unique artefact unearthed by the 1926 Warren Expedition to
It was a clay tablet, surface covered with cramped angular writing.
“It still defies all efforts at decipherment,” the guide informed the tour party. “In fact…”
“Bread, Milk, Eggs, Teabags…”
“I’m sorry?”
The young man in the bowtie ignored the guide, still scribbling notes: “Custard, Fish Fingers…”
“Yes, very amusing,” the guide murmured.
The young man returned to his waiting companion, waving the piece of paper: “Amy, we can go! I’ve found the shopping list!”
“Good,” said Amy. “Now don’t lose this one!”

2. Pst, am not sure decipherment is a word? Decryption? Of course, it probably is a word, and who says the guy talking isn't prone to that sort of thing anyway...

Date: 2011-02-14 09:30 pm (UTC)Yeah, with hindsight decryption was probably the word I was looking for... I think I was so amazed that my spellchecker let me have decipherment that I kept it.

Date: 2011-02-19 12:16 am (UTC)No, seriously, friend away - I'm always friending people at the drop of a hat... ;D
The Octopus Directive sounds too cool for a mere drabble, I agree. All I'll say is, keep away from The Hades War - that title's mine until I can think of a story to go with it! XD
