Yes, you read right - I just checked and it would seem that I started this meme on July 22 2010. Which is...well,  a strange definition of 30 days anyway. So let's press on quickly:

Day 24/355: Whatever Tickles Your Fancy

In keeping with yesterday's theme of multi-Doctor fanvids, I was going to post a few more that have come to my attention. However, while searching around on YouTube for just one more to add to the ones I have bookmarked, I came across this. And for some reason, I laughed so much (in a good way!) that I felt I had to share. Despite seeming to dwell on their less successful operations, it is nevertheless a fitting tribute, I feel, to the United Nations Intelligence Taskforce and all of the brave men and women who served in it during the halcyon days of the 1970s (or was it really the 1980s?!). They made heroes in those days!

Also includes my favourite moment in The Daemons - not even the "five rounds rapid" bit - no, Sgt Benton's sheer innocent joy at getting to fire the bazooka. :D

I realized watching that that 70s Who blew up a lot of real cars. It was quite obviously a real jeep catching fire and tumbling down a gentle incline at one point, not a model. Not sure why that warmed the cockles of my heart, but it did.

PS what the flip are cockles and why are they located in your heart? aren't they shellfish?!?

Of course. In that particular instance, he was also using Clark Kent-style glasses as part of his "disguise". They didn't work. ;D I like the Brig's fairly unimpressed response to the whole thing too.

Yes - I agree. The craft of film and tv making in those days was much more, well, crafty than it has become in the era of CGI and so on and so forth. The stunts and explosions and little model churches going up in flames and so forth are all excellent, considering how little money they often had to spend on them.

I thought so, yes. So I have no idea why they'd be in anybody's heart, but it probably wouldn't be too good for your health. ;)
