Fic: Protect and Survive, Part IV: Bombs Bursting in Air

The story continues... A bit more talky Doctor and Ace stuff this part, but things are going to get moving in the next one. Oh yes, they certainly are... More oldschool Who continuity references too; apologies in advance for this particular one. And only one outright Dr Strangelove reference, you'll be glad to hear. All of the stuff about OTL and ATL and PODs is my sort of shout out to the newsgroup soc.history.what-if, where I used to hang out a few years ago, where those terms were used in the context of writing/arguing about AH scenarios such as this one. And they took a very dim view indeed of multi-POD timelines as well... Really unlikely PODs were said to be caused by Alien Space Bats; hopefully there'll be none of those in this story! :)
